        "content": "<p>The verdict against two company directors in the corruption case\ninvolving the procurement of chromebooks in East Lombok is lighter than\nthe prosecutors\u2019 demands. Nevertheless, both must still serve prison\nterms of more than seven years.<\/p>\n<p>The two company directors were sentenced to seven and a half years\nand seven years in prison, respectively, in the corruption case\nconcerning the procurement of information and communication technology\n(ICT) devices in the form of chromebooks by the East Lombok Education\nand Culture Office in 2022. They are Libert Hutahaean, Director of PT\nTemprina Media Grafika, and Lia Anggawari, Director of PT Dinamika Indo\nMedia.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cImposing a prison sentence of seven years and six months on the\ndefendant Lia Anggawari. Imposing a prison sentence of seven years on\nthe defendant Libert Hutahaean,\u201d ruled the panel of judges chaired by\nLalu Moh Sandi Iramaya at the Mataram Corruption Court (Tipikor), on\nMonday (4\/5\/2026).<\/p>\n<p>In addition to the prison sentences, both defendants were also\nsentenced to fines of Rp500 million each. If the fines are not paid,\nthey must be replaced with imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWith the provision that if the fine is not paid, it shall be\nreplaced with imprisonment for 100 days,\u201d stated the judge.<\/p>\n<p>Furthermore, the panel of judges ordered both defendants to pay\nrestitution. Defendant Lia Anggawari was sentenced to pay restitution of\nRp534 million, while Libert Hutahaean was sentenced to pay Rp3.2\nbillion.<\/p>\n<p>The restitution must be paid no later than one month after the\ndecision gains legal force. If not paid, the defendants\u2019 assets will be\nseized and auctioned.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIf insufficient, it shall be replaced with imprisonment of three\nyears and six months each,\u201d added the judge.<\/p>\n<p>In its decision, the court stated that both were proven to have\nviolated Article 603 of Law No.\u00a01 of 2023 on the Criminal Code in\nconjunction with Article 18 of Law No.\u00a031 of 1999 on Corruption Crimes\nin conjunction with Articles 20 letters (a, b, and c) of Law No.\u00a01 of\n2023 on the Criminal Code.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRuling that defendants Lia Anggawari and Libert Hutahaean have been\nlegally and convincingly proven guilty of committing corruption crimes\njointly as charged in the primary indictment of the public prosecutor,\u201d\nexplained the judge.<\/p>\n<p>The sentences for both defendants are lighter than the demands of the\npublic prosecutor. Previously, the prosecutors demanded eight years in\nprison and a fine of Rp750 million subsidiary 165 days imprisonment for\neach.<\/p>\n<p>In addition, the prosecutors demanded that Libert Hutahaean pay\nrestitution of Rp3.2 billion subsidiary four years, and Lia Anggawari\nRp534 million subsidiary four years.<\/p>\n<p>Other Defendants Already Sentenced<\/p>\n<p>In this case, Libert Hutahaean and Lia Anggawari were charged along\nwith several other parties, namely former Secretary of the East Lombok\nEducation and Culture Office, As\u2019ad; commitment-making official (PPK),\nAmrulloh; Director of CV Cerdas Mandiri, Salmukin; and marketing of PT\nJP Press Media Utama, M Jaosi alias Ojik.<\/p>\n<p>The other four defendants have already been sentenced earlier. As\u2019ad\nwas sentenced to three years in prison and a fine of Rp500 million\nsubsidiary 100 days imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>Amrulloh was sentenced to five years and six months in prison and a\nfine of Rp500 million subsidiary 100 days imprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>Salmukin was sentenced to five years and six months in prison, a fine\nof Rp500 million subsidiary 100 days imprisonment, and to pay\nrestitution of Rp1.32 billion subsidiary three years.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, M Jaosi was sentenced to six and a half years in prison\nand a fine of Rp500 million subsidiary 100 days imprisonment. He was\nalso required to pay restitution of Rp238 million subsidiary three years\nimprisonment.<\/p>\n<p>It is known that this case originated from the 2022 special\nallocation fund (DAK) of Rp32 billion. The state losses incurred\namounted to Rp9.2 billion based on calculations by the Public Accounting\nOffice.<\/p>",
