Banda Aceh (ANTARA) - The Class II Immigration Office of Lhokseumawe (TPI) has delivered a donation from the Ministry of Immigration and Pemasyarakatan (Imipas) in the form of boreholes for a village maternity clinic (polindes) and prayer house (meunasah) in disaster-affected areas of Bireuen Regency, Aceh Province.

Head of the Class II Immigration Office of Lhokseumawe Azhan Miraza stated in Lhokseumawe on Saturday that the borehole assistance was delivered in Samuti Rayeuk Village, Gandapura District, Bireuen Regency.

“The borehole assistance is part of the Imipas Disaster Care Programme. The aid has been handed over to the community and maternity clinic in the disaster-affected area, Samuti Rayeuk Village, Gandapura District,” he said.

The borehole handover was conducted by Class II Immigration Office head Azhan Miraza, accompanied by structural officials and staff from Lhokseumawe Immigration Office. The event was marked by the signing of a handover certificate, confirming that the borehole construction has been completed and can now be officially utilised by the community. All activities proceeded in an orderly and smooth manner.

According to him, the borehole assistance represents a concrete manifestation of the Indonesian Ministry of Immigration and Pemasyarakatan’s concern for the basic needs of the community, particularly access to clean water in the post-disaster period.

He expressed hope that the constructed boreholes would provide direct benefits to the community, both for health services at the maternity clinic and at the prayer house.

He stated that this social activity is part of immigration personnel’s commitment to not only carry out immigration service and law enforcement functions, but also contribute to community activities.

“The borehole assistance represents the presence of the state in addressing the basic needs of the community and as part of accelerating post-disaster recovery,” said Azhan Miraza.
