LEN launches X-ray
JAKARTA (JP): PT LEN Industri, a state owned company overseen
by the Management Board of Strategic Industries, has launched new
X-ray instruments in cooperation with Heimman of Germany, and PT
Metro Eka Pelita Niaga.
Minister of Transportation Haryanto Dhanutirto said on Friday
that the instruments, which were assembled in Bandung of West
Java, were used for security checks at ports and airports.
The company's commercial director, Dedi Hidayat Rivai, said
LEN Industri had produced eight instruments, called X-Ray LEN
Heimman, for its initial production.
Dedi explained that at the first stage, LEN Industri assembled
components supplied by Heimman and would increase the local
contents of its future production. (04)
