Legalisation of Marriage Books at the Ministry of Religious Affairs Building: Schedule and Service Locations
Public services for the legalisation of marriage books at the Ministry of Religious Affairs (Kemenag) building continue to operate despite adjustments to the work system or work-from-home (WFH) policies. Public services at the Directorate General of Islamic Community Guidance, including at the Office of Religious Affairs (KUA), remain open to maintain public access to religious services.
For information, the legalisation of marriage books is the process of authenticating copies of marriage documents so that they have the same legal force as the originals. This service facilitates the public who need official copies for administrative purposes such as banking, immigration, or other government institutions.
According to the Kemenag website, marriage book legalisation services at the Kemenag building are carried out on the following schedule and location.
- Monday-Thursday: 08:00-14:00 WIB
Friday: 08:00-11:00 WIB.
- Public Service Counter of the Directorate of KUA Development and Harmonious Family, Kemenag Building, Jalan M.H. Thamrin No. 6, Central Jakarta.
Director of KUA Development and Harmonious Family Ahmad Zayadi emphasised that religious services must not be halted as they are a basic need of the community.
“Services to the congregation must continue to run. KUA and Islamic Bimas services are the frontline that directly interacts with the public,” he said in Jakarta on Wednesday (8/4/2026).
Zayadi revealed that flexible work policies do not reduce the quality of public services. He assured that all service units continue to carry out their duties professionally and responsibly.
“WFH does not mean services stop. On the contrary, we ensure that services remain present, both through direct mechanisms and strengthening adaptive work systems,” he said.
