JAKARTA, KOMPAS.com – The Lebak Bulus Terminal in South Jakarta is not overly crowded on H-2 Lebaran, or Thursday (19/3/2026).

Kompas.com observations at the site show several passengers sitting in the waiting area while awaiting departure. They are carrying luggage such as backpacks and small suitcases.

Some appear busy with their mobile phones, while others chat casually or rest.

There are no long queues in the departure area or at the ticket counters yet. The flow of arriving and departing passengers remains relatively orderly without any build-up.

One of the Transportation Department officers at Lebak Bulus Terminal, Hendra, said the number of passenger departures this morning is still considered low.

“As of Thursday, 19 March 2026, this morning there were 52 departures; this is still not even half,” said Hendra when met at the location.

According to Hendra, compared to last year, the number of passengers ahead of Eid this time has experienced a decline.

“If last year H-2 and H-3 were busy, now there’s a drop of about 25 percent,” he said.

Nevertheless, the number of holidaymakers departing from Lebak Bulus Terminal is estimated to continue increasing until approaching Eid al-Fitr.

Roni (46), a passenger, admitted he could only go home on H-2 Lebaran because he had to adjust to his family’s holiday schedule.

“Because my wife just got her leave yesterday, so we can only go home today,” he said.

Roni arrived at Lebak Bulus Terminal since morning to anticipate traffic jams on the road.

“This morning around half past eight, afraid of traffic on the way,” he said.

Roni, who is going home with his wife and two children to Jepara, Central Java, chose to use the bus because it is considered more practical.
