Jakarta, CNN Indonesia – The Jakarta Legal Aid Foundation (LBH) said the Panel of Judges at the Central Jakarta District Court has granted the request for detention transfer for three defendants in an alleged incitement case related to August demonstrations that led to riots.

The defendants are Lokataru Foundation Director Delpedro Marhaen, Lokataru Foundation staff member Muzaffar Salim, and @gejayanmemanggil admin Syahdan Husein. The information was shared by LBH Jakarta through its official X account. LBH Jakarta Director Fadhil Alfathan also confirmed the information.

“The Panel of Judges granted the request for detention transfer for Delpedro, Syahdan, and Muzaffar. They are now under city arrest status,” LBH wrote in its post, as quoted on Saturday (14/2).

According to LBH, the three were picked up from Salemba Detention Center on Friday evening (13/2).

“When they were placed under city arrest, the judge had no concerns about allegations that the defendants would flee or destroy evidence,” LBH wrote.

Delpedro Marhaen, @blokpolitikpelajar account manager Muzaffar Salim, @gejayanmemanggil account manager Syahdan Husein, and @aliansimahasiswamenggugat account manager Khariq Anhar have been charged with incitement related to the August demonstrations that turned into riots.

Prosecutors said police found 80 collaborative content posts that were inciting in nature, aimed at generating hatred toward the government, on Instagram social media, which were disseminated by the four between August 24-29, 2025.

The actions of the four are charged under Article 28 paragraph 2 in conjunction with Article 45A paragraph 2 of Law Number 1 of 2024 on Electronic Information and Transactions (ITE Law) in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) point 1 of the Criminal Code (KUHP).

Or the second charge under Article 28 paragraph 3 in conjunction with Article 45A of the ITE Law in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) point 1 of the Criminal Code; or the third charge under Article 160 of the Criminal Code in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) point 1.

Or the fourth charge under Article 76H in conjunction with Article 15 in conjunction with Article 87 of Law Number 35 of 2014 on Child Protection in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph 1 point 1 of the Criminal Code.
