Layer cake banned
Layer cake banned
Several weeks ago, your paper quoted the Malaysian Health Minister as saying that his government banned a few Indonesian layer cakes from consumption in Malaysia. In his statement he also stressed that his ministry will conduct a laboratory test of the cakes and will inform his Indonesian counterpart of the result. If the test has been completed, is it possible for you to get the result and publish it for your readers.
Although I am not a layer cake producer, I am very concerned about the ban. Of course, the government of Malaysia has the right to do ban goods, but this is the second ban imposed by the Malaysian government on Indonesian products. Last year the government also banned Indonesian jamu (herbal medicine) for the same reason: for the sake of its citizen's health.
