Land and building tax doubled

I was surprised at my father-in-law Bapak Abdul Razak's Land
and Building tax (PBB) for 2001. In the bill his land area with
Taxed Object Number (NOP) 31.72.030.001.003-0203.0 has been
almost doubled to 220 square meters from 118 square meters in
2000.

This is strange as our house has not been renovated. Besides,
no new land measurements were taken by tax officials.

PBB's service office in East Jakarta not only upped the
building area but also its category. So, my father-in-law who
paid a tax of Rp 142.210 in 2000 must pay Rp 224.760 in 2001. It
is certainly a burden on my father-in-law as he no longer works.

I call on Bapak Supadi SH to immediately correct such mistakes
made by PBB's service office so that they won't burden the common
people.
