Jakarta, CNBC Indonesia - Minister of Manpower Yassierli has acknowledged receiving around 1,590 reports of violations in the payment of Eid al-Fitr Holiday Allowance (THR) for 2026. He stated that the number for 2025 and 2026 is nearly the same, around 1,500 reports. These reports have been submitted to the THR Command Post of the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and are currently in the process of follow-up resolution. “All complaints come through the complaint channels at the Ministry of Manpower. We then distribute them to the relevant regional offices. They are followed up by inspectors,” he said during a working meeting with Commission IX of the House of Representatives (DPR RI) in Senayan, Jakarta, on Thursday (9/4/2026). “There is then a summoning process, followed by investigation, and so on,” he added. Of the thousands of reports to the THR Command Post, several have been followed up and resolved. “506 complaints have been settled. These have been closed. Some had not paid, then they paid. Some paid partially, like last week when we conducted a surprise inspection in Semarang Regency,” he explained. “There is still one company short by about 10-15 percent, and it was paid the next day. So this is still in process, as some processes take time,” said Yassierli. Previously, Minister of Manpower Yassierli conducted a surprise inspection (sidak) at a company initialled HSW in Semarang Regency, Central Java. During the inspection on Tuesday (31/3/2026), Yassierli urged the company to immediately settle the remaining unpaid THR. From the meeting with management, the company employing around 951 workers committed to completing the payments by 2 April 2026 at the latest. It was noted that this case originated from a complaint received at the 2026 Religious THR Command Post of Kemnaker on 16 March 2026. In the report, the company was complained about for not having paid THR despite the deadline having passed, which is seven days before the religious holiday. After follow-up by manpower inspectors, the company made a payment on 18 March 2026. However, a follow-up report emerged that the payment was not made in full. THR regulations indeed require payment no later than seven days before the holiday and must be paid in full, not in instalments. “I am here to ensure that the handling of this report is followed up properly. This company has a total of around 951 workers. After speaking with the company leadership, there is a commitment that the remaining unpaid THR will be settled by 2 April 2026 at the latest,” Yassierli stated after the inspection, quoted from the official Kemnaker statement. “THR must not be deducted. There is a misunderstanding when THR is linked to attendance, and that is not permitted,” Yassierli stressed.
