Minister of Manpower Yassierli has assured that the deceased victims of the accident between the Cikarang Commuter Line and the KA Argo Bromo Anggrek train in Bekasi, West Java, are beginning to receive social security protection from the government. As of 4 May 2026, nine out of a total of 16 deceased victims have received these benefits. Yassierli explained that the compensation received by the heirs consists of several components, including Old-Age Security (JHT) of Rp 197.28 million, Death Benefit (JKM) of Rp 42 million, and Work Accident Insurance (JKK) of Rp 2.02 billion. In addition, the government is providing scholarships for six children of the victims, with a maximum value of up to Rp 458.5 million. Furthermore, there are Pension Guarantee (JP) benefits that will be disbursed periodically to the heirs, as a form of long-term support for the bereaved families. “This is proof that the government is committed to ensuring that social security protection does not stop at workers, but continues to the families left behind,” Yassierli stated in Cikarang, Bekasi, West Java, on Monday (4/5/2026). “We want to ensure that the future of their children remains secure through scholarships,” he added. The Minister further noted that of the nine deceased victims who have received compensation, eight were participants in BPJS Ketenagakerjaan registered at the Jakarta Gambir, Jakarta Salemba, Jakarta Kebon Sirih, Jakarta Ceger, Jakarta Mangga Dua, Grha Jamsostek (DKI Jakarta Regional Office) branches, and one participant at the South Tangerang Branch Office (Banten Regional Office). To date, compensation has been disbursed to the heirs in several stages. On 29 April 2026, compensation was given to the heirs of Nuryati and Nur Ainia Rahmadhynna. The following day, compensation was transferred to the heirs of Adelia Rifani. Then on 4 May 2026, compensation was again disbursed to the heirs of Tutik Anitasari, Arinjani Novita Sari, and Ida Nuraida.
