Labour Minister: Enhancing Human Resources Competence Strengthens the Employment Ecosystem
Jakarta (ANTARA) - Labour Minister Yassierli believes that enhancing the competence and capacity of human resources is essential for strengthening the national employment ecosystem amid the increasingly rapid transformation of the world of work.
βThe world of work is currently undergoing a very rapid transformation. Technological disruptions, digitalisation, and changes in industrial needs have created a gap between workforce competence and labour market requirements,β stated Labour Minister Yassierli in his remarks in Jakarta on Tuesday.
According to him, Indonesia possesses a large demographic bonus. However, without the right interventions, this potential could turn into a burden.
Therefore, Yassierli considers cross-sector collaboration to be the key to addressing these challenges.
This cooperation includes enhancing human resources competence, utilising digital technology and artificial intelligence, expanding employment opportunities, and strengthening access to employment services, including for workers with disabilities.
Furthermore, the Labour Minister stated that this collaboration also encompasses the development of the Talent and Innovation Hub (TIH) as an ecosystem for human resources development that not only focuses on training but also encourages innovation and entrepreneurship connected to industry needs.
This programme, he continued, prepares talents not only as job seekers but also as job creators through strengthening digital skills, artificial intelligence (AI), entrepreneurship, and project-based learning for persons with disabilities.
