Kumham Imipas Ensures Optimal Public Services During Eid Holiday
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Ministry of Coordinating Law, Human Rights, Immigration, and Corrections ensures that public services during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah/2026 CE holiday period run optimally throughout Indonesia.
Secretary of Kemenko Kumham Imipas, Andika Dwi Prasetya, stated this based on comprehensive monitoring conducted at various correctional and immigration work units in Central Java, East Java, West Java, Banten, Bali, and DKI Jakarta.
“Monitoring was carried out by all levels of mid-level high-ranking leaders, expert staff, special staff, and primary high-ranking leaders within Kemenko Kumham Imipas,” Andika said in a statement confirmed in Jakarta on Monday.
Based on the received data, he said, it shows that all services ran orderly, safely, and smoothly, supported by the readiness of personnel, adequate facilities and infrastructure, as well as service mechanisms that have operated according to standard operating procedures (SOP).
In the correctional sector, Kemenko Kumham Imipas recorded that Eid visitation services were conducted orderly and with a humanistic approach in various regions.
“For example, at Semarang Class I Prison, special Eid remissions were granted to 872 correctional inmates (WBP),” he said.
According to him, ongoing coaching is the main key in preparing WBP to reintegrate into society. All series of activities ran safely and orderly.
Meanwhile, in the Jakarta area, such as at Cipinang Class I Prison, Andika mentioned that readiness for public services during work-from-anywhere (WFA) periods was also monitored.
He stated that the inspection results showed that services continued to run well, in accordance with SOP and supported by the readiness of facilities and infrastructure to handle increased visitations during Eid al-Fitr.
In the immigration sector, Kemenko Kumham Imipas ensured that immigration checks and travel document issuance services continued during the Eid holiday period.
At General Ahmad Yani International Airport in Semarang, Central Java, he said monitoring focused on entry-exit inspection processes, strengthening human resource capacity, and implementing digital transformation to support faster and more accurate services.
Then, in the Tanjung Priok Port area in Jakarta, he continued, immigration services ran normally, including checks on Indonesian citizen (WNI) and foreign national (WNA) crew members.
It was added that Immigration Offices also continued to provide passport and residence permit services from 08:00 WIB to 15:00 WIB. In addition, the implementation of work-from-office (WFO) and WFA schemes was carried out optimally without disrupting service quality.
“Structural leaders remain on duty at the office to ensure security stability, while a duty roster system is applied to safeguard vital installations,” Andika explained.
As for the North Jakarta Immigration Office, passport services continued with the provided quota, and residence permit services for foreign nationals remained open.
Thus, he continued, the implementation of flexible work schemes did not impact the quality of services provided to the public.
Nationally, Kemenko Kumham Imipas concluded that public services during Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah ran optimally in all monitored regions.
It was emphasised that security was tightly maintained through various mechanisms, including the use of biometric technology, visitor identification badges, and support from TNI and Police apparatus.
Meanwhile, Andika stated that strengthening digital transformation and enhancing human resource capacity continues to be carried out, especially in the immigration sector.
Service facilities and infrastructure, both in prisons, detention centres, and immigration offices, he said, have been prepared thoroughly to anticipate increased public service needs.
“No significant disruptions were found during service implementation. All activities ran safely, orderly, and smoothly,” he added.
On the other hand, it was explained that socialisation of the latest legal regulations also strengthens the capacity of personnel in carrying out tasks and functions professionally.
Kemenko Kumham Imipas reaffirms its commitment to continuously maintaining the quality of public services, including during high-intensity service periods such as Eid al-Fitr, to ensure that the public continues to receive prime, safe, and equitable services.
