The All-Indonesia Trade Union Confederation (KSPSI) held a social health service event comprising health checks, blood donations, and renovations of workers’ homes to mark its 53rd anniversary. The event was attended by KSPSI Advisory Board Chairman, National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo.

KSPSI President Andi Gani Nena Wea said the confederation was proud to have the Police Chief as its organisational adviser. Andi Gani also conveyed that KSPSI would consistently carry out its actions in demanding workers’ rights peacefully and in an orderly manner.

“We at KSPSI are very proud that the Police Chief has agreed to serve as Chairman of the KSPSI Advisory Board. This means the Police Chief oversees millions of KSPSI worker members. We are the largest workers’ confederation,” Andi Gani explained in his remarks at PT Victory Chinglu Indonesia in Pasar Kemis, Tangerang Regency, on Monday (16/2/2026).

“Therefore, comrades, with the Police Chief as our Advisory Board Chairman, we shall continue to carry out our actions peacefully. Do you agree to act in an orderly and conducive manner? I trust that you are all very mature,” he continued.

On the same occasion, General Sigit expressed his support for the working class. The Police Chief reiterated the National Police’s commitment to championing workers’ rights.

“On this 53rd anniversary, our hope is that the struggle of all comrades, the struggle of fellow workers to realise worker welfare, naturally becomes our shared endeavour. Therefore, the National Police will certainly continue to support the aspirations of all fellow workers,” the Police Chief said.

The Police Chief stated that the government also wished for industrial relations to function well. Conducive industrial relations are expected to enable continued company operations so that workers can also attain welfare.

“And this is naturally our shared hope. Therefore, we also wish to encourage the business climate and investment climate in Indonesia to truly grow, so as to open up the widest possible employment opportunities,” he said.

He also instructed the National Police’s Labour Affairs Desk to continue providing assistance to all workers, particularly those who have fallen victim to redundancies.

“We all want that whatever happens, we can mitigate the impact as much as possible so that it does not affect fellow workers. The labour affairs desk must truly provide the best possible service to fellow workers, especially those affected by redundancies,” he said.
