KSP and KPK Strengthen National Anti-Corruption Prevention Strategy
Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Head of the Presidential Staff Office (KSP), Dudung Abdurachman, and the Deputy Chairman of the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), Agus Joko Pramono, met at the KSP office in Jakarta to strengthen the national strategy for preventing corruption.
Speaking at the KSP office in Jakarta on Tuesday, Dudung stated that the meeting discussed the implementation of Presidential Regulation No. 54 of 2018 on the National Strategy for Corruption Prevention (Stranas PK), including plans to refine regulations to enhance cross-agency coordination.
According to him, the implementation of the national strategy has so far involved several ministries and agencies, such as the National Development Planning Agency (Bappenas), KPK, Ministry of Home Affairs, KSP, and the Ministry of State Apparatus Empowerment and Bureaucratic Reform (Kemenpan RB).
“We are designing a proposal to amend it so that the Minister of Finance (Menkeu) and BPKP are involved,” Dudung said.
He emphasised that strengthening corruption prevention strategies is a serious concern for the government, particularly amid the implementation of several national priority programmes, including the Free Nutritious Meals (MBG) programme.
He stated that he would conduct sudden inspections (sidak) together with an inter-ministerial team to ensure implementation proceeds according to the rules.
He mentioned that one potential vulnerability being anticipated relates to alleged practices of selling and buying service points or Nutrition Fulfilment Service Units (SPPG).
However, Dudung stressed that all such information will still be verified through field examinations.
In addition to governance aspects, KSP will also monitor the quality of programme implementation, including food standards to avoid public health issues.
Nevertheless, he believes the President will pay even more intense attention to anti-corruption efforts because they concern the use of public funds.
Meanwhile, KPK Deputy Chairman Agus Joko Pramono affirmed that his agency is positioned on prevention by strengthening governance and government programme supervision systems.
According to Agus, the KPK has provided several recommendations to the National Nutrition Agency to improve governance aspects and ensure effective supervision systems.
“There are many things that can be sharpened in its governance; we are trying to review, monitor, and then the systems that have not been running well so far, we have provided input,” Agus said.
