KRL Commuter Line services on the Bogor-Jakarta Kota route experienced disruptions this afternoon due to an operational failure in the Listrik Aliran Atas (overhead catenary system) between Bojonggede and Citayam stations.

KAI Commuter confirmed through its official X account that technical teams have been deployed to the incident location to restore normal operations.

“There is currently an operational disruption affecting the overhead catenary system (LAA) between Bojonggede and Citayam stations, which is being addressed by personnel,” stated KAI Commuter’s official account on Wednesday afternoon (11 March).

As a result of the incident, train services from Bojonggede to Citayam were temporarily halted for safety reasons, although the reverse route remained operational.

“Commuter Line services from Bojonggede to Citayam are currently awaiting clearance to resume,” the statement read.

“Commuter Line services from Citayam to Bojonggede are operating normally,” it added.

The relevant authorities urged passengers to remain calm and follow all instructions from station personnel.

“We advise passengers to prioritise safety and adhere to instructions from station staff,” the statement said.

To prevent severe passenger congestion, KAI Commuter swiftly implemented operational adjustments to several train numbers, including route shortening for trains from Jakarta to enable faster turnaround times.

“Operational Pattern Adjustment: KA 1034 (Manggarai-Bogor) will only operate as far as Depok Station, then return as KA 1397 (Depok-Jakarta Kota),” KAI Commuter stated.

KAI Commuter apologised for the inconvenience caused to passengers and requested that all travellers check for the latest operational updates regularly through the official KAI Commuter social media timeline as repairs continue.

“We apologise for the inconvenience,” the statement concluded.
