The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) states that Jatmiko, the brother of Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo and a member of the Tulungagung DPRD, is suspected of knowing about the extortion practices carried out by Gatut within the regency government.

KPK Deputy for Enforcement and Execution Asep Guntur Rahayu said that during the Handcuff Operation (OTT) on Friday night (10/4/2026), investigators delved into the extortion practices from Jatmiko as a witness who has a familial relationship with Gatut.

“Brother J (Jatmiko) is a witness involved. Investigators suspect that the person has a family relationship and also as an official knows about these practices. So, we want to delve into the person regarding the practices carried out by GSW,” said Asep at the Merah Putih Building, Jakarta, on Saturday (11/4/2026).

Previously, Jatmiko Dwijo Saputro, the brother of Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo, was also caught in the Corruption Eradication Commission’s (KPK) handcuff operation (OTT) on Friday (10/4/2026).

Jatmiko was also intensively examined after arriving at the KPK Merah Putih Building around 13:48 WIB.

He is one of 13 people brought to the KPK.

Meanwhile, Gatut had arrived in Jakarta earlier around 06:50 WIB.

In the OTT, KPK also seized evidence in the form of documents, Electronic Evidence (BBE), four pairs of Louis Vuitton shoes, and cash amounting to Rp335.4 million.

In this case, KPK named Tulungagung Regent Gatut Sunu Wibowo and his aide Dwi Yoga Ambal as suspects related to the extortion case in the Tulungagung Regency Government on Saturday (11/4/2026).

Gatut is alleged to have pressured OPD heads within the Tulungagung Regency Government after the official appointment process.

The officials were reportedly asked to sign statements of readiness to resign from their positions and as civil servants if unable to carry out the tasks and responsibilities given.

The letter with blank dates is suspected to have been used as a tool of pressure against the OPD heads in fulfilling requests from the regent, including when asked for money contributions.

“Those who are not loyal to the Regent are threatened with being removed from their positions or even resigning as civil servants,” he said.
