KPK Summons Wife of Rejang Lebong Regent for Questioning in Jakarta
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has summoned Intan Larasita, the wife of the Regent of Rejang Lebong, Bengkulu, for the 2025-2030 period, Muhammad Fikri Thobari. Intan is being examined as a witness today at the KPK headquarters in South Jakarta on Monday (6/4). “The examination is being conducted at the KPK’s Red and White Building in the name of: IL (managing household affairs),” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in a written statement on Monday (6/4). As of the time this report was written, there is no information regarding the witness’s attendance. Budi could not provide details on the material that investigators intend to delve into with the witness. Such details are usually provided after the examination is completed. The KPK has already named five suspects in the alleged corruption case involving “ijon” bribery for projects in Rejang Lebong Regency, Bengkulu Province, for the 2025-2026 Fiscal Year. Two suspects as bribe recipients are Regent Fikri and the Head of the Public Works, Spatial Planning, Housing, and Settlement Area Department (PUPRPKP), Harry Eko Purnomo. Meanwhile, the three bribe givers are Irsyad Satria Budiman from PT Statika Mitra Sarana; Edi Manggala from CV Manggala Utama; and Youki Yusdiantoro from CV Alpagker Abadi. The suspects have been detained at the KPK’s Red and White Building Branch State Detention House. Fikri and Harry Eko are charged with violating Article 12 letter a or letter b and/or 12 B of the Corruption Eradication Law (UU Tipikor) in conjunction with Article 20 letter c of Law Number 1 of 2023 on the Criminal Code (KUHP). Whereas the three private sector suspects are charged with violating Article 605 paragraph (1) or Article 606 paragraph (1) of the KUHP in conjunction with Law Number 1 of 2026 on Penalty Adjustments. This case was uncovered by the KPK through a Handcatch Operation (OTT). In the ongoing investigation process, the KPK has searched numerous locations such as the regent’s house, the house and office of the PUPRPKP department head, the education department office, as well as the homes of the perpetrators and related witnesses. These searches were conducted marathonly from 13 March to 15 March 2026. The KPK seized several pieces of evidence allegedly related to the case, such as documents and Electronic Evidence (BBE), as well as Rp1 billion in cash from Harry Eko’s house.
