KPK Still Reviewing WFH for Civil Servants Every Friday, Ensures Public Services Remain Unaffected
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) supports the government’s efforts to implement a work-from-home (WFH) policy for one day per week to enhance energy efficiency. However, KPK admits it is still reviewing the application of this policy within its institution. “KPK certainly supports the government’s policy regarding WFH for ASN, both in central and regional government environments, aimed at energy savings and promoting work pattern transformation while maintaining the quality of public services to the community,” stated KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters at the KPK building in South Jakarta on Wednesday (1/4/2026). “Therefore, from that government policy, KPK is still conducting a study on the technical implementation,” he added. On the other hand, Budi said, KPK will continue to prioritise ensuring that public services are not disrupted by the implementation of the WFH policy instructed by the government. This aligns with the government’s emphasis that public services must remain unaffected. “Certainly, in its implementation, KPK will refer to the points of the government’s policy to achieve energy savings, maintain the quality of public services, and utilise information technology, so there will be necessary adjustments,” Budi explained. “But we assure that the public services at KPK remain accessible as they should be,” he added. It is known that the government has set a work-from-home policy for civil servants (ASN) every Friday. This work scheme is implemented as a response to the impacts of the Middle East conflict.
