KPK Seizes Vehicles and Electronic Evidence Linked to Sting Operation Involving Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq
JAKARTA — The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has seized vehicles and electronic evidence (BBE) as part of an operation to detain Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq. The agency has not disclosed the specific types of vehicles or BBE seized. ‘Among them indeed BBE have been secured, there are vehicles also,’ KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo told reporters at the KPK building in Jakarta on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.
Eleven people were arrested in the OTT, including HM Yulian Akbar, the Pekalongan Regency Secretary. ‘Of the 11 people detained and brought to the KPK, there are civil servants and private sector individuals. One of them is the Pekalongan Regency Secretary,’ he said.
Those detained by the KPK will undergo intensive questioning to complete the initial evidence needed in the investigation phase.
Earlier, the KPK arrested Fadia Arafiq along with her aides and trusted associates in Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday (3 March 2026) in the early hours. ‘The parties were secured in Semarang, and this morning the three concerned were brought to Jakarta for further questioning,’ KPK spokesman Budi Prasetyo said at the Red and White Building in Jakarta on Tuesday.
Unlike usual practice, Fadia and two others entered the KPK building through a back door. ‘They arrived at the KPK Merah Putih Building around 10:22 WIB,’ he added.
Budi also said the OTT involving Fadia Arafiq was related to procurement in the Pekalongan Regency. The team is still searching for several others connected to the OTT.
