Series of KPK Operations Throughout 2026
The Rejang Lebong case adds to the list of covert operations conducted by the KPK during the early months of 2026. The operation in Rejang Lebong carried out on Tuesday (10 March) represents the eighth sting operation conducted by the KPK in 2026, and is the second conducted during the holy month of Ramadan.
Investigators are currently examining the flow of funds and project details that are the subject of the case. The covert operation is strongly suspected to be related to bribery practices in project execution in the region. Strengthening oversight alone will not be sufficient without being accompanied by moral awareness from stakeholders in the region.
