JAKARTA - The Indonesian Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) has stated that it is still searching for several parties suspected of knowledge regarding the corruption case involving Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq.

Fadia Arafiq, together with his aide and trusted associate, was apprehended during a sting operation (OTT) in Semarang, Central Java, on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.

KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo has called upon the parties being sought to cooperate.

“So they can assist in the process of handling this case, and the investigation process, which is currently in the preliminary investigation stage, can proceed effectively,” he stated.

Budi said that his team is also examining several parties within the Pekalongan Regency government and private sector in connection with the covert operation.

Budi also mentioned that the sting operation involving Fadia Arafiq is related to a procurement case at the Pekalongan Regency government office. However, the KPK has not yet provided detailed explanation about which procurement activities are alleged to have been corrupted by Fadia.

“The allegation of corruption offence in this case is related to procurement within the Pekalongan Regency area,” he said.

According to observations, Fadia and two other individuals arrived at the Red and White Building at 10.22 WIB in a black KPK vehicle. The three entered through the back entrance.

“They arrived at the KPK Red and White Building at approximately 10.22 WIB,” he said.

“Yes, in this closed investigation activity, the team secured several parties in the Pekalongan area of Central Java, one of whom is the regent,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo in his statement on Tuesday.

Budi stated that the KPK is currently bringing Fadia and several other parties to the Red and White Building in Jakarta for further examination.

“The team then brought them to Jakarta for further examination,” he said.
