KPK Probes Distribution of PSBI Funds to Foundations Owned by Two DPR Members

Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) is probing the distribution of funds from Bank Indonesia’s Social Programme (PSBI) to foundations owned by House of Representatives members Satori (ST) and Heri Gunawan (HG), by examining two retired BI officials as witnesses on 4 May 2026. The two legislators are suspects in the alleged corruption case concerning the distribution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) funds from Bank Indonesia (BI) and the Financial Services Authority (OJK). “The witnesses were questioned in depth regarding the distribution of Bank Indonesia Social Programme funds to the foundations linked to the two suspects in this case, namely ST and HG,” said KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday. Furthermore, Budi stated that the KPK considers the statements from the two retired BI officials, initialled HNF and TS, to supplement the investigation into the BI-OJK CSR case. “Of course, this will complete the requirements in the investigation process of this case so that, with the completed investigation file, the case can soon be transferred,” he said. Currently, the KPK is still conducting an investigation into the alleged corruption in the distribution of corporate social responsibility (CSR) programme funds or the alleged corruption in the use of Bank Indonesia Social Programme (PSBI) and Financial Services Outreach (PJK) funds for 2020-2023. The case stemmed from reports of analysis results from the Financial Transaction Reports and Analysis Centre (PPATK) and public complaints, after which the KPK began a general investigation in December 2024. KPK investigators have searched several locations suspected of holding evidence related to the case. Some of those locations include the Bank Indonesia building on Jalan Thamrin, Central Jakarta, which was searched on 16 December 2024, and the Financial Services Authority office, which was searched on 19 December 2024. On 7 August 2025, the anti-corruption agency named Commission XI House of Representatives member for the 2019-2024 period Satori (ST) and Heri Gunawan (HG) as suspects in the case. Both are currently House of Representatives members for the 2024-2029 period.
