Jakarta (ANTARA) - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has issued Circular Letter Number 2 of 2026 regarding the Prevention and Control of Gratuities Related to the Festive Season.

KPK spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that one key point emphasised in the circular concerns the prohibition of using state facilities for personal purposes, such as state-owned or regionally-owned vehicles, or vehicles rented for the operational needs of ministries, agencies, or regional governments.

“Official vehicles are not permitted to be used for personal purposes, such as homecoming trips, family travel, or other activities outside the scope of official duties,” Budi told journalists in Jakarta on Friday.

According to him, the prohibition is particularly important given that official vehicles are state facilities provided to support the execution of duties and public service delivery.

Therefore, he said, the use of official vehicles must be in accordance with their intended purpose and not exploited for personal interest.

“The use of official vehicles outside official purposes not only reflects abuse of state facilities, but also potentially creates conflicts of interest and undermines the principle of accountability in state asset management,” he said.

Meanwhile, he noted that the KPK encourages leaders of ministries, agencies, regional governments, state-owned enterprises, and other state institutions to take proactive steps in internal control, including overseeing the use of official facilities during the festive holiday period.

“The KPK reminds that strengthening internal oversight and compliance with state facility usage rules is an important part of efforts to maintain public trust and ensure clean and integrity-based governance,” he said.

Furthermore, he stated that the KPK facilitates gratuity complaints and corruption prevention measures accessible through the website https://jaga.id, and consultation services via WhatsApp instant messaging application at +62811145575, or by contacting the KPK’s public information service at telephone number 198.

“Reporting of gratuity receipt or refusal can also be submitted to the KPK through the online gratuity reporting application (GOL) at https://gol.kpk.go.id or via email at pelaporan.gratifikasi@kpk.go.id,” he said.

As of 12 March 2026, he said the KPK had recorded 32 gratuity reports totalling Rp13.6 million, which fell within the pre-festive season category.

“Of these, 14 reports, or approximately 43.75 per cent, remain under review and validation by the KPK, whilst 12 other reports, or 37.5 per cent, have been distributed as a form of social assistance,” he said.
