KPK Examines Surabaya Railway Engineering Centre Head Over East Java Rail Projects

The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) examined the Head of the Surabaya Class I Railway Engineering Centre (BTP), Denny Michels Adlan (DMA), as a witness on 13 August 2026. The questioning aimed to investigate work packages within the Directorate General of Railways (DJKA) at the Ministry of Transportation in East Java. KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo stated that investigators sought information from DMA regarding DJKA work packages in East Java. The questioning was conducted as part of the investigation into alleged bribery related to railway line construction and maintenance projects under the DJKA. As of 20 January 2026, the KPK had named and detained 22 suspects, including Sudewo, a member of the House of Representatives for the 2019-2024 period. The anti-graft body has also named two corporations as suspects in the case: PT Istana Putra Agung and PT KA Properti Manajemen.
