KPK Considers Monitoring 1,179 Polri-Owned Nutritional Service Units
The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has indicated it may monitor the 1,179 Nutritional Service Units (SPPG) owned by the Indonesian National Police (Polri).
“Of course, the possibility of monitoring these SPPGs is open, so that this program can also optimally provide a positive impact or benefit to the community,” said KPK Spokesperson Budi Prasetyo to reporters on Thursday, February 26, 2026.
Budi said that the monitoring could start from the planning stage to the accountability stage.
However, he said that the KPK is currently reviewing what is needed to carry out the monitoring after Indonesia Corruption Watch (ICW) asked the anti-corruption agency to monitor the thousands of SPPGs owned by the Polri.
“We are reviewing the points or substance that are needed to carry out the monitoring or supervision,” he said.
On the other hand, the KPK, he said, invites all Indonesian people to participate in monitoring the 1,179 Polri SPPGs.
“Of course, we all invite the public to participate in monitoring and supervising every program carried out by the government,” said Budi.
Based on data provided by National Police Chief General Pol. Listyo Sigit Prabowo on February 13, 2026, the 1,179 Polri SPPGs consist of 411 that have been operating, 162 in the preparation stage, 499 in the construction stage and will be completed in March 2026, and 107 that are still in the groundbreaking stage.
Previously, on February 24, 2026, ICW visited the KPK’s Red and White Building in Jakarta to specifically request that the KPK’s Deputy for Prevention and Monitoring, Aminudin, and his team monitor the 1,179 Polri SPPGs.
According to ICW, the KPK is authorized to follow up on the request in accordance with Article 6 and 7 of Law Number 19 of 2019 concerning the Second Amendment to Law Number 30 of 2002 concerning the Corruption Eradication Commission, as well as Article 45 and 49 of KPK Regulation Number 7 of 2020 concerning the Organization and Working Procedures of the KPK.
In addition, ICW asked the KPK to monitor approximately 1,000 Polri SPPGs because it is feared that there will be many irregularities in their management through the Kemala Bhayangkari Foundation.
The KPK is also considered to need to monitor the Polri SPPGs considering the provision of daily incentives free of charge for each SPPG of IDR 6 million per day for six days, which applies for a period of two years from the start of operation.
