KPK Arrests Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq in Sting Operation

JAKARTA — The Indonesian Anti-Corruption Commission (KPK) arrested Pekalongan Regent Fadia Arafiq during a sting operation in Central Java on Tuesday, 3 March 2026.

“Confirmed, in this closed investigation activity, the team secured several individuals in the Pekalongan region, Central Java, one of whom is the regent,” stated KPK Spokesman Budi Prasetyo in a statement on Tuesday.

“The team subsequently brought them to Jakarta for further examination,” he added.

He also declined to disclose the type of evidence secured by the KPK during the covert operation.
