Kota Tua Heritage District Operating Hours During Ramadan 2026
During Ramadan 2026, the Kota Tua heritage district will remain open to visitors. The following operational hours apply throughout the holy month, as announced via the official @kotatua.jkt Instagram account.
1. Kota Tua Precinct - Open daily - 9.00am–9.00pm WIB
2. Kota Tua Activity Registration Office - Open daily - 9.00am–5.00pm WIB
3. Museums The following museums will operate Tuesday to Sunday, from 9.00am to 3.00pm WIB: - Jakarta History Museum - Fine Art and Ceramics Museum - Wayang Museum - Bank Indonesia Museum - Mandiri Museum - Jakarta Maritime Museum
Free Walking Tour Schedule During Ramadan 2026
The Ramadan Adventour 2026 programme offers free guided walking tours in a special Ramadan edition throughout the holy month. The schedule is as follows:
- Monday (3.00pm–5.00pm) — Oud Batavia en Omstreken: Then and Now
- Tuesday (3.00pm–5.30pm) — Jakarta Transportation Story
- Wednesday (3.00pm–5.30pm) — Explore Arabian Village of Pekojan
- Thursday (3.00pm–5.30pm) — Jakarta Transportation Story
- Friday (3.00pm–5.00pm) — Oud Batavia en Omstreken: Then and Now
- Saturday (3.00pm–5.30pm) — The Journey to the Canal and City Wall of Batavia
- Sunday (3.00pm–5.30pm) — Explore Arabian Village of Pekojan

Getting to Kota Tua by Commuter Rail
Visitors can reach Kota Tua via the KRL Commuter Line by alighting at Jakarta Kota Station. From the station, the heritage district is approximately 650 metres away, or roughly a nine-minute walk.
- From central Jakarta: Take the KRL directly to Jakarta Kota Station.
- From Bogor/Depok: Take the KRL from Bogor or Depok station to Jakarta Kota Station.
- From Tangerang: Take the KRL from Tangerang Station to Duri Station, transfer to Manggarai Station, then continue to Jakarta Kota Station.
- From Bekasi: Take the KRL from Bekasi Station to Manggarai Station, then continue to Jakarta Kota Station.
