Korps Lalu Lintas (Korlantas) Polri, Indonesia’s Traffic Corps, has invited young people and Gen Z to become pioneers of a campaign promoting proper vehicle administration (ranmor).

This aligns with the policy of Korlantas Commander Irjen Agus Suryonugroho to ensure all police ranks provide maximum service to the public and the national tagline “Safe Homecoming, Happy Family” (Mudik Aman, Keluarga Bahagia).

Deputy Commander of Korlantas Polri Brigadier General Wibowo stated that “Safe Homecoming” extends beyond traffic engineering, service posts, and securing accident-prone routes. It also begins with complete and legally valid vehicle administration.

Such compliance includes valid driver’s licences (SIM), active vehicle registration certificates (STNK), valid ownership documents (BPKB), and adherence to vehicle registration and identification requirements, which form the foundation of safety and order.

“Gen Z is a creative digital generation with considerable influence in public spaces and on social media. We are inviting them to become agents of change, campaigning for the importance of vehicle administrative compliance as part of a road safety culture,” Wibowo said in a statement on Wednesday (25 February).

Wibowo emphasised that administrative compliance is not merely a legal requirement but a form of moral responsibility towards oneself, one’s family, and fellow road users.

He noted that properly registered and legal vehicles facilitate supervision, legal protection, and handling of unexpected situations during travel.

Meanwhile, “Happy Family” represents the ultimate goal of all such efforts. According to Wibowo, happiness can only be realised if journeys are undertaken with discipline, rule compliance, and ensuring all vehicle aspects—both technical and administrative—are roadworthy.

Through Polantas Menyapa, Wibowo also promotes digital education, interactive discussions, and creative campaigns on various platforms popular with Gen Z. The aim is to foster collective awareness of vehicle administrative compliance as a new lifestyle for young people.

“We want safety to be a necessity, not merely an obligation. When administration is orderly, vehicles are roadworthy, and drivers are disciplined, then homecoming journeys will be safe and families will be happy,” he stated.

Through collaboration between authorities, young people, and all sections of society, the spirit of “Safe Homecoming, Happy Family” is expected to become a national movement bringing about the 2026 homecoming season that is safe, smooth, and humane.
