Korlantas Polri: 78 Percent of Returnees Have Already Returned to Jakarta
JAKARTA - Korlantas Polri states that 78 percent of returnees have already returned to Jakarta during the Eid al-Fitr 1447 H return flow up to Saturday (28/3/2026). “From traffic counting calculations, up to now, approximately around 22 percent (have not yet returned to Jakarta),” said Korlantas Chief Inspector General of Police Agus Suryonugroho in his statement as quoted from the korlantas.polri.go.id website on Saturday. Agus said that they anticipate a surge in vehicle volume from Saturday afternoon to Sunday (29/3/2026). “We are preparing to implement One Way phase 1, phase 2, phase 3, and later we will decide whether the second-phase national return One Way is necessary,” Agus stated. They are still considering the One Way National Phase 3, which will apply from KM 390 in the Kendal area to KM 70 of the Cikatama Toll Road. In addition, Korlantas will coordinate with the National Police Chief to consider implementing the second-phase national one-way return if there is a significant surge in traffic or vehicle generation. “We will monitor the situation on the ground. If there is a significant increase, it is not out of the question that the second-phase national one-way will be enforced,” Agus said. The functional Japek II South toll road is being operated as an alternative route from Sadang, Deltamas to Setu, connecting to the Jakarta Outer Ring Road (JORR) or Jakarta Outer Ring Toll Road. “Those from West Java, which is approximately 33 percent to 35 percent from yesterday, the remainder today is still quite substantial; we are managing it well by using the functional Japek II South, which is quite strategic to split the flow from West Java heading to Cikampek; we divert them via Sadang to Setu. This is quite under control,” Agus added.
