TOKYO (AFP): Japan's Komatsu Ltd. and Katsushiro Matex KK will
form a joint venture in Indonesia this month to produce and
market construction machinery parts, a Japanese spokesman said
Tuesday.

P.T. Katsushiro Indonesia, capitalized at US$7.4 million and
the Japanese markets, the spokesman said.

The venture will be owned 45 percent by Katsushiro, 30 percent
by Komatsu Indonesia, a local unit of the Japanese construction
machinery maker, 15 percent by Nittetsu Shoji Co. and the
remaining 10 percent by Mitsubishi Corp.

Monthly production is estimated at 3,000 tons.
