Koko Erwin, Drug Dealer Who Bribed Senior Police Officer AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, Named Suspect
Mataram, VIVA – The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police have designated Koko Erwin, a drug dealer who paid a Rp1 billion bribe to AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro during his tenure as head of the Bima City Police, as a suspect.
The suspect status of the individual who delivered the bribe through intermediary AKP Malaungi was confirmed in a brief statement by the Head of Public Relations for the NTB Regional Police, Senior Commissioner Mohammad Kholid, via WhatsApp message on Friday.
"Yes, Koko Erwin is a suspect," he said.
Regarding further legal steps following Koko Erwin's designation as a suspect, including questioning and detention, Kholid asked for more time.
"Yes, he is still being sought and pursued for arrest. After that, a wanted persons notice (DPO) will be issued," he said.
Koko Erwin's name first emerged during a press conference held by AKP Malaungi's legal counsel, Asmuni.
He stated that his client, in the official examination records as a suspect in a drug distribution case at the NTB Regional Police Narcotics Directorate, had disclosed all parties involved.
According to the series of examination records before police investigators, AKP Malaungi — who at the time served as head of the Bima City Police narcotics unit — admitted to knowing Koko Erwin as a drug dealer who handed him 488 grammes of methamphetamine at the Marina Inn Hotel in Bima City at the end of 2025.
The handover of methamphetamine in five plastic bags was described as a follow-up to the Rp1 billion bribe from Koko Erwin.
The dealer, described as a long-standing player in the trade, reportedly handed over the Rp1 billion with the intention of helping AKP Malaungi fulfil his superior's desire to own the latest model Toyota Alphard, priced at Rp1.8 billion.
AKBP Didik Putra Kuncoro, as head of the Bima City Police, was also mentioned in the examination records as having welcomed Koko Erwin's intentions and arranged plans with his subordinate, AKP Malaungi, to ensure Koko Erwin's methamphetamine business ran smoothly within the Bima City Police jurisdiction.
Following AKP Malaungi's testimony before investigators, both Koko Erwin and AKBP Didik have now officially been named suspects.
However, the NTB Regional Police have not yet issued an official statement regarding the specific charges to be applied.
