JAKARTA — Muhamad Kerry Adrianto Riza, defendant and beneficial owner of PT Orbit Terminal Merak (PT OTM) and PT Jenggala Maritim Nusantara (PT JMN), announced he will appeal following his conviction to 15 years’ imprisonment in a corruption case involving crude oil and refinery product management at PT Pertamina Persero.

“Yes, God willing, I will continue my legal efforts, hoping to receive justice elsewhere,” Kerry stated after the hearing at Jakarta’s Corruption Court on Friday, 27 February 2026.

Kerry expressed confusion over the judges’ decision to seize and confiscate his fuel terminal to the state, noting that the facility continues to be used by Pertamina to this day. He argued that the panel of judges failed to consider all evidence presented during the trial.

Today, Kerry Adrianto, alongside Commissioner of PT Navigator Khatulistiwa and Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim Dimas Werhaspati, and Commissioner of PT Jenggala Maritim and Chief Executive Officer of PT Orbit Terminal Merak Gading Ramadhan Joedo, faced conviction in the crude oil and refinery product management corruption case at PT Pertamina Persero.

Kerry was sentenced to 15 years’ imprisonment and ordered to pay restitution of Rp2,905,420,300,854 (approximately Rp2.9 trillion), with a subsidiary sentence of five years’ imprisonment if the fine remains unpaid. Gading and Dimas each received 13-year sentences with fines of Rp1 billion, and subsidiary sentences of 190 days if fines are not settled.

The judges determined that the rental of the fuel terminal owned by PT OTM constituted unlawful conduct.
