JAKARTA – PT Kliring Berjangka Indonesia (KBI) is intensifying promotion of the Warehouse Receipt Registration System through its Is-Ware Next Gen platform to over 160 institutions and organisations ahead of the 2026 harvest season.

This initiative forms part of efforts to support national food self-sufficiency whilst fulfilling KBI’s role as pioneering operator of the Central Warehouse Receipt Registration Centre (PusReg RG).

The enhanced promotion programme is also part of KBI’s annual initiative titled “Ramadan Bergerak” (Moving Ramadan), which in 2026 carries the theme “Protecting Trust, Channelling Blessings”.

As the Central Warehouse Receipt Registration Centre, KBI continuously promotes Is-Ware Next Gen to ensure warehouse receipt registration processes remain transparent, secure, and accountable.

The promotion is increasingly relevant as the harvest season approaches, when adequate storage facilities and orderly commodity recording can help farmers manage harvests more effectively.

March to April 2026 is projected to mark peak rice harvest season across several Indonesian regions. This positive production trend is driven by increased planting area, with harvests concentrated in Java, Sumatra, Sulawesi, and Kalimantan.

During harvest seasons, which typically see falling rice prices, the Warehouse Receipt System (SRG) offers farmers an alternative solution to postpone sales until prices stabilise more favourably.

Through the system managed by KBI, commodities stored in warehouses are officially recorded and can be utilised as financing instruments whilst helping maintain food commodity supply stability.

KBI stated it continues supporting regulators and relevant ministries in realising various government programmes, including the village export initiative and SME advancement schemes.

Since its development, the Is-Ware Next Gen system has delivered benefits across 10 commodity hub regions in Indonesia, including Aceh, Bengkulu, Lampung, West Java, East Java, South Kalimantan, West Nusa Tenggara, and South Sulawesi.

System beneficiaries include farmers, tenant farmers, fishermen, business operators, and warehouse managers.
