KAI Yogyakarta to Operate Seven Additional Trains During Idul Adha Holiday Period
KAI Daop 6 has prepared seven additional trains, ranging from economy to executive class, as an alternative for the public.
PT Kereta Api Indonesia (Persero) Daerah Operasi 6 Yogyakarta will operate seven additional trains to support safe, secure, comfortable, and timely passenger mobility during the Idul Adha and Pancasila Day holiday period from 27 May to 1 June 2026.
Feni Novida Saragih, KAI Daop 6 Public Relations Manager, stated on Monday that during this long weekend holiday period, the company has prepared seven additional trains, from economy to executive class, to meet public mobility needs.
The public is also reminded to plan their long weekend trips by train well in advance.
Previously, seven additional trains were also operated from Daop 6 Yogyakarta during the 2026 Ascension Day holiday and leave period.
During this holiday period, the People’s Economy Train will return as part of an additional service, specifically KA 7039 on the Lempuyangan-Pasarsenen return journey, offering comfortable travel at affordable fares.
The additional trains departing from Daop 6 Yogyakarta for the Idul Adha and Pancasila Day holiday period include:
Sancaka Supplementary Train (88BF) on the Yogyakarta-Surabaya Gubeng route,
Batavia Train (7005) on the Solo Balapan-Gambir route,
Yogyakarta-Gambir Supplementary Train (7007C),
Yogyakarta-Gambir Supplementary Train (7009C),
Solo Balapan-Bandung Supplementary Train (7011C),
Solo Balapan-Bandung Supplementary Train (7013C),
and Lempuyangan-Pasarsenen Supplementary Train (7039).
“KAI Daop 6 continues to strive to provide the best service during this long holiday period. All journeys prioritise safety, comfort, and punctuality, supported by excellent station and onboard service,” Saragih said.
KAI Daop 6 Yogyakarta also reminds passengers to book tickets up to 45 days in advance via the Access by KAI app, kai.id website, or other KAI partner channels, given upcoming long holidays.
“Passengers are advised to plan their journey from home or accommodation to the station in advance to avoid last-minute rushes that could compromise safety and comfort,” Saragih added.
