JAKARTA Experience Board (JXB) targets strengthening the tourism sector, activation of public spaces, and the hotel business in 2026. Chief Executive Yunn Bali Mohamad Yusuf said the company’s 2025 performance would serve as a springboard to accelerate its expansion this year. ‘The 2025 achievements will be a foundation for us to move more progressively in 2026. Our focus is on strengthening public-space activation, improving the quality of international events, and optimising Filming in Jakarta as the gateway to the global creative industry,’ he said in a statement on Friday (6/3). Over 2025, JXB recorded an 84.1% rise in operating revenue. The surge was driven largely by the tourism sector, which grew by 546.11% as public-space activation was launched through various national and international agendas. At least 25 events were held during the year, including the SEA V League, the 80th RI Independence Day Carnival, the Festival Film Indonesia, the Jakarta Future Festival, and the Jakarta Abang None selection. The programme energised public spaces while also boosting tourism and the creative economy in the capital. In the hotel sector, JXB completed the rebranding of two hotel units: Grand Cempaka Resort is now The Tavia Riverside Resort & Convention, while d’Arcici Plumpang has become The Tavia Rumabatavi with a Betawi cultural concept. Looking ahead to 2026, JXB will optimise several hospitality assets, including strengthening The Tavia Heritage Hotel. The company also promotes a mixed-commercial hotel concept, integrating themed restaurants, a training camp, glamping, and entertainment venues within a single complex. ‘We are preparing three main focuses: expanding public-space activation, improving the quality of hosting international events, and developing the Filming in Jakarta programme to facilitate film production in the capital,’ Yunn said. Through these strategies, JXB aims to make Jakarta’s public spaces a livelier hub of city activity while boosting the growth of the creative economy. The Jakarta Provincial Government will hold the Jakarta Chinese New Year celebrations 2026 from February to March at Bundaran HI, Monas, TMII, and Kota Tua to boost tourism.
