Junior soccer team out losses out to S. Korea

JAKARTA (JP): Indonesia's junior national team was ousted on Saturday after falling 1-3 to South Korea in the qualifying round for Group 8 at the Asian Soccer Under-16 Championship in Seoul.

Coach Togar Sitompul attributed his team's loss to nervousness caused by a must-win burden. "In order to go to the final round we had to win. A draw would not have been enough. This must-win burden turned out to be detrimental," Togar said.

South Korea has routinely won the Group 8. As the winner it advances to the championship's final round in Chiang Mai in September. (arf)
