Gresik to finish 2002 report in March: The country's largest
cement maker PT Semen Gresik hopes to be able to complete the
audit of its consolidated 2002 financial accounts by March 2004,
three months later than originally planned. Company president
Satriyo did not provide clear reasons for the delay. He said on
Tuesday a new auditor would be selected next week from three
candidates including PricewaterhouseCoopers, Ernst & Young, and
KPMG. The publicly listed firm has not been able to submit its
audited financial report for 2002 mainly due to employee protests
at its West Sumatra subsidiary PT Semen Padang. -- JP

West Natuna gas supply being restored: The leak in the 650-
kilometer underwater pipeline which supplies natural gas from
West Natuna's offshore gas producers (ConocoPhilips, Star Energy
and Premier Oil) to Singapore's Sembawang Corp. has been
isolated, Singapore's Energy Market Authority (EMA) said on its
website. It added that partial gas supply of up to 65 percent of
the Gas Sales Agreement was being restored. The partial
restoration is expected to be completed by Wednesday morning.
Power generation companies using the natural gas, such as Senoko
Power, PowerSeraya and Tuas Power continue to use alternative
fuel for electricity generation to make up for the shortfall of
natural gas. The incident did not disrupt electricity supply to
consumers on the island-state, EMA said --JP
