JNK Ensures Ngawi-Kertosono Toll Road Services Ready for 2026 Eid Season
Madiun – PT Jasamarga Ngawi Kertosono Kediri (JNK), the operator of the Ngawi-Kertosono toll road, has assured that all facilities are prepared for optimal use to handle the surge in vehicle numbers during the exodus and return periods for Eid al-Fitr 1447 Hijriah in 2026.
Chief Executive Officer Arie Irianto announced at an Operational Readiness Ceremony in Madiun, East Java, on Wednesday that optimal service readiness is crucial in maintaining smooth public mobility during the Eid holiday period.
“We are committed to serving wholeheartedly and maintaining the smooth flow, safety and comfort of travellers using the Ngawi-Kertosono toll road during the 2026 Eid exodus and return periods,” said Arie Irianto.
JNK continues to coordinate with various relevant parties, including the police and other related agencies, to ensure traffic management during the exodus and return periods runs optimally.
According to him, traffic volume during the 2026 Eid holiday period is predicted to increase significantly, with the potential for the exodus period reaching 336,000 vehicles, an increase of approximately 3 per cent compared with the 2025 Eid exodus.
To anticipate this surge, JNK has prepared various service strategies, ranging from transaction systems, traffic management, road maintenance, to improved rest area facilities.
“With infrastructure readiness and an operational team on 24-hour standby, we hope toll users can enjoy safe and comfortable travel,” said Arie.
JNK has also deployed an additional 33 personnel at three main toll gates: Madiun, Caruban, and Nganjuk toll gates.
Additionally, tow services and operational vehicles are on 24-hour standby to support smooth travel for road users.
Facilities at rest and service areas (TIP) at Km 597A, 597B, 626A, and 626B are also ensured to be in prime condition. Toilets, prayer rooms, and rest areas have been cleaned and their functions checked to remain comfortable for road users.
Arie urged all toll road users to prepare their journeys properly, including ensuring their vehicles are roadworthy, fuel tanks are sufficiently filled, and e-toll credit is adequate.
“For toll road users needing assistance during their journey, they can contact the Call Centre on 133 or download the Travoy application to obtain real-time traffic information, road conditions, and emergency services,” he said.
