Jimbaran Hijau and Traditional Village of Jimbaran Distribute 100 Food Aid Packages to Elderly Residents
PT Jimbaran Hijau, in partnership with the Traditional Village of Jimbaran, distributed food aid packages to elderly residents on Friday 13 March 2026 from 09:00 to 12:00 Wita. The food aid distribution coincided with preparations for Nyepi Saka 1948.
The food aid distribution targeted four hamlets, namely Banjar Ubung, Banjar Pantai Sari, Banjar Menega, and Banjar Pesalakan, with each hamlet receiving 25 packages of food aid.
Through this initiative, Jimbaran Hijau ensured that elderly residents of the Traditional Village of Jimbaran could participate in religious ceremonies and celebrations peacefully, without the burden of daily necessities.
Yusea Eka Prasetya, a representative from Jimbaran Hijau, stated that it has become the company’s commitment to be present within the community, particularly during special religious moments. “As part of the traditional Jimbaran community ecosystem, we understand that household needs increase before Nyepi. We want to share happiness and lighten the burden of elderly residents, who are the elders and an inseparable part of the Jimbaran community,” Yusea explained on Friday 13 March 2026. Yusea hoped the distributed food aid would help residents observe the religious holiday with devotion and appreciated the cooperation from the Traditional Village of Jimbaran.
I Made Suanda, Head of the Traditional Banjar Pantai Sari, expressed appreciation for the food aid distribution. “We thank Jimbaran Hijau and the traditional village for their care. Before Nyepi, food aid like this is very meaningful for our elderly residents. We welcome this gesture as evidence of harmony between our community and Jimbaran Hijau,” said Suanda.
I Wayan Harista Yasa, Head of the Traditional Banjar Ubung, noted that the food aid programme aligns with the values of Tri Hita Karana. “This programme is a concrete action by Jimbaran Hijau, which indeed pays attention to the environment in accordance with the Tri Hita Karana values upheld by the Balinese community,” Harista said.
Wayan Sukamta from the Traditional Village of Jimbaran, who attended the distribution process, also expressed gratitude to Jimbaran Hijau. “We welcome and appreciate Jimbaran Hijau’s initiative in choosing elderly residents as beneficiaries before Nyepi. This assistance is a form of respect for elders that aligns with Balinese traditional and cultural values,” Sukamta stated. He noted that the programme proceeded smoothly owing to the harmony between the Traditional Village of Jimbaran and Jimbaran Hijau, and expressed hopes that their relationship would continue and benefit all residents.
The distribution process proceeded in an orderly manner and with warmth. Elderly residents were greeted kindly by a team of volunteers consisting of Jimbaran Hijau representatives and members of the traditional village community. The atmosphere was filled with a sense of family, accompanied by light conversation and communal prayers for Nyepi to bring peace to all.
