Jetour Monitors Middle Eastern Geopolitical Impact, No Influence on Indonesian Sales Yet
Jakarta — Geopolitical tensions in the Middle East, including conflicts involving the United States, Israel, and Iran, represent one of the external factors being monitored by automotive industry players. However, to date, Jetour Indonesia reports having seen no direct impact on business operations or sales in the domestic market.
Moch Ranggy Radiansyah, Marketing Director of PT Jetour Sales Indonesia, stated that the company continues to monitor developments in the global situation, particularly those relating to supply chains and the stability of vehicle component supplies.
“At present, there is indeed no direct impact to Jetour. From the supply chain perspective, component and parts supplies remain on schedule with no disruptions,” Ranggy said when speaking with journalists in Jakarta on Tuesday (10 March 2026).
According to him, the supply chain represents one of the key aspects the company monitors when geopolitical situations escalate. Global distribution disruptions could potentially affect automotive component deliveries, although Jetour has not yet experienced such consequences.
Beyond supply chains, the company also monitors the possibility of energy price fluctuations that could affect operating costs for conventional fuel vehicles. Jetour currently markets internal combustion engine (ICE) models in Indonesia.
“Since our vehicles are still ICE-powered, there might be some impact if fuel prices change. But for now, that is not a primary concern,” he said.
He also acknowledged that geopolitical dynamics could accelerate vehicle electrification trends. Nevertheless, Jetour maintains a product portfolio spanning various technologies, from conventional engines to electric vehicles.
Ranggy explained that globally, Jetour operates vehicle lines encompassing ICE, plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEV), and battery electric vehicles (BEV). This strategy is viewed as providing flexibility should the market shift towards electrification more rapidly.
