JCI Closes Down 0.94% at 7,097, with Majority of Stocks in the Red
JAKARTA – The Composite Stock Price Index (JCI) closed lower in trading on Friday (27/3/2026). According to data from the Indonesia Stock Exchange (IDX), the JCI fell 67.03 points or 0.94% to the level of 7,097.06.
The JCI opened at 7,136.37, lower than the previous close at 7,164.09. Throughout the trading session, the index reached a high of 7,154.56 and a low of 7,070.21.
The total volume of stock trading on the exchange today reached 18.73 billion shares with a frequency of around 1.37 million times.
Stock movements were dominated by the red zone, with 396 stocks down, 292 stocks up, and 270 stocks stagnant.
The Sharia index also entered the red zone. The Jakarta Islamic Index (JII) fell 6.22 points or 1.30% to 471.88. The Jakarta Islamic Index 70 (JII70) weakened 1.50 points or 0.82% to 180.44, while the Indonesia Sharia Stock Index (ISSI) declined 1.83 points or 0.73% to 249.69.
Movements in stock sectors were mostly in the red zone. The infrastructure sector recorded the largest weakening after falling 25.33 points or 1.29% to the level of 1,937.98.
The industrial sector also weakened 23.21 points or 1.27% to 1,804.68, while the technology sector fell 74.19 points or 0.97% to 7,571.44.
The raw materials sector weakened 8.34 points or 0.42% to 1,991.63, the cyclical consumer goods sector fell 3.27 points or 0.33% to 974.02, and the property and real estate sector corrected 2.57 points or 0.28% to 920.86.
On the other hand, the energy sector still recorded a gain of 12.92 points or 0.35% to 3,714.33. The health sector rose 2.13 points or 0.12% to 1,799.25, and the non-cyclical consumer goods sector strengthened slightly by 0.07 points or 0.01% to 718.19.
Pressure on the JCI was also influenced by the weakening of large-cap banking stocks. Shares of PT Bank Central Asia Tbk (BBCA) fell 2.55% to Rp 6,700 per share.
Among the LQ45 stocks, the top losers included PT Vale Indonesia Tbk (INCO), which dropped 4.46%, PT Unilever Indonesia Tbk (UNVR) weakened 4.12%, and PT Telkom Indonesia Tbk (TLKM) corrected 3.79%.
In addition, PT Merdeka Battery Materials Tbk (MBMA) fell 3.62% and PT Mitra Adiperkasa Tbk (MAPI) weakened 3.54%.
Meanwhile, the top gainers were led by PT Aneka Tambang Tbk (ANTM), which rose 2.33%, followed by PT AKR Corporindo Tbk (AKRA) strengthening 1.88%, and PT Adaro Minerals Indonesia Tbk (ADMR) rising 1.80%.
Other stocks that also strengthened include PT Charoen Pokphand Indonesia Tbk (CPIN), up 1.24%, and PT Barito Pacific Tbk (BRPT), strengthening 1.14%.
