Bekasi, West Java—PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) has strengthened its operational readiness across all toll road sections to handle the surge in public mobility during the Eid al-Fitr exodus and return period in 1447 Hijriah.

Director General Rudi Kurniadi stated that the company has deployed 101 tow trucks distributed across the Trans-Java Toll Road to ensure optimal operational service during the Ramadan and Eid al-Fitr period.

“We have also mobilised 574 personnel on call who are ready to be deployed at any time to handle emergency conditions and potential traffic disruptions during the period of increased public mobility,” he said in Bekasi, West Java, on Thursday.

The company has also prepared 19 additional electronic top-up service points and 60 additional mobile reader units to help accelerate vehicle transaction processing, particularly during high-traffic periods.

The company is ensuring service readiness at 40 rest areas distributed along the Trans-Java Toll Road, including two functional rest areas at Km 439 A and Km 444 B on the Semarang-Solo toll section.

Management of rest areas focuses on cleanliness maintenance, availability of clean water, readiness of public facilities such as toilets, vehicle parking arrangements, and readiness of security and cleaning personnel to ensure road users can rest safely and comfortably before continuing their journey.

JTT is projecting an increase in traffic volume during the Eid exodus and return period.

This projection is a primary concern in ensuring operational service readiness across all sections managed by the company.

During the period 11-31 March 2026, vehicle volume passing through the Cikampek Utama toll gate heading east on the Trans-Java route is estimated to reach 1,039,004 vehicles, an increase of 74.83 per cent compared with normal traffic conditions.

As a precautionary measure against the potential increase in mobility, the company has strengthened maintenance aspects and toll road infrastructure readiness by deploying 244 preservation teams.

These teams consist of patching teams, road reserve maintenance teams, drainage preservation teams, road accessory facility preservation teams, and teams to anticipate flooding and landslides.

“This effort is undertaken to ensure toll road conditions remain safe, reliable, and comfortable for road users during the Eid exodus and return period,” he said.

Kurniadi urged all road users to plan their journeys well, ensure their vehicles are in good condition, and comply with traffic signs and guidance from field personnel.

“Road users are also encouraged to use rest area facilities wisely and rest when feeling tired to maintain safety during travel,” he said.
