Jakarta (ANTARA) – PT Jasa Raharja and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan have integrated their insurance application to expedite services for victims of work-related traffic accidents through more effective and integrated data coordination. Jasa Raharja Director General Muhammad Awaluddin stated the collaboration was implemented via the launch of an integrated application for Work Accident Insurance and Traffic Accident Insurance with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan. “This move is part of strengthening services for workers involved in work-related traffic accidents,” Awaluddin said in a statement in Jakarta on Monday. The service integration launch was conducted by Jasa Raharja Director General Muhammad Awaluddin and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Director General Saiful Hidayat, witnessed by National Social Security Council (DJSN) member Muttaqien at Primaya Hospital in Karawang, West Java. The application integration is part of Jasa Raharja’s public service digital transformation to deliver faster, coordinated insurance processes and ensure service certainty for the public. Through the interconnected application, the Coordination of Benefit (CoB) process between Jasa Raharja and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan can be executed more effectively, speeding up services for victims and simplifying administrative procedures at healthcare facilities. Awaluddin stated the collaboration represents a tangible integration of state protection for citizens through synergy between two institutions mandated to provide basic protection. He said this is a form of national protection integration aimed at delivering faster, precise, and accurate services for citizens, particularly workers involved in work-related traffic accidents. “This application integration also strengthens the National Social Security Application ecosystem through more seamless and coordinated services,” Awaluddin added. He added the integration would enhance inter-agency service efficiency and optimise the CoB mechanism, ensuring more effective insurance processes without overlapping services. He hopes the innovation does not stop at today’s integration; in the future, with BPJS Ketenagakerjaan, they will continue developing service innovations to ensure basic protection for citizens and workers. “To make it more accessible, faster, and deliver tangible benefits,” he added. According to Awaluddin, improving transport safety for workers cannot be done by one party alone but requires collaboration among stakeholders, including government, police, businesses, healthcare facilities, and the public. Therefore, in addition to strengthening post-accident services, Jasa Raharja and BPJS Ketenagakerjaan are committed to expanding road safety education programmes as part of efforts to reduce road accident rates and fatalities. Meanwhile, BPJS Ketenagakerjaan Director General Saiful Hidayat stressed that the Work Accident Insurance (JKK) programme covers risks during work activities and also protects workers during commutes to and from work. He said the integration is a crucial step to ensure seamless protection for workers through easier information and data exchange between BPJS Ketenagakerjaan and Jasa Raharja. “This is proof the state is present to provide the best protection for Indonesian workers,” Saiful said. BPJS Ketenagakerjaan noted traffic accidents remain a major contributor to workplace accidents in Indonesia. In 2025, out of approximately 318,000 recorded workplace accidents, about 28% or over 87,000 cases occurred on the roads. Most cases occurred during commutes to and from work or work-related activities using transport. In line with this, National Social Security Council (DJSN) member Muttaqien, who attended the event, praised the synergy between the two institutions in delivering better and more efficient services. “We hope this application functions well and ensures all services are created better and more efficiently in the future,” Muttaqien said. Through the application integration, both institutions strengthened data integration and service coordination to make insurance administrative processes more efficient, accurate, and transparent, including easing the process for Work Accident Service Centres (PLKK) in serving participants. The launch event was accompanied by road safety education and campaigns as part of strengthening a culture of safe riding and Occupational Health and Safety (K3). The programme aims to raise workers’ awareness of road safety importance, given that road accidents remain a key risk for Indonesian workers.
