Jasa Marga to Open Four Functional Toll Road Sections for Eid Exodus 2026
JAKARTA — PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is preparing four functional toll road sections to support smooth traffic flow during the 2026 Eid exodus. These routes are being established as alternatives to help distribute traffic and reduce the potential for congestion at several accident-prone points.
Jasa Marga Chief Executive Officer Rivan A Purwantono stated that all functional toll road sections can be traversed toll-free during the exodus period.
The four sections to be activated include the Solo–Yogyakarta–NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road, Probolinggo–Situbondo–Banyuwangi Toll Road, Jakarta–Cikampek II Selatan Toll Road, and Yogyakarta–Bawen Toll Road.
On the Solo–Yogyakarta–NYIA Kulon Progo Toll Road, the functional route previously operating only to Prambanan will be extended to Purwomartani for 12.23 kilometres. This section is managed by Jasa Marga subsidiary PT Jasamarga Jogja Solo. The extension is expected to help alleviate vehicle congestion heading to Yogyakarta and surrounding areas. Additionally, travel time from Klaten to Yogyakarta, which typically takes around 45 minutes, is estimated to be reduced to approximately 20 minutes.
Meanwhile in East Java, the functional route on the Probolinggo–Situbondo–Banyuwangi Toll Road, managed by PT Jasamarga Probolinggo Banyuwangi, is also being extended. This route is expected to support traffic flow in eastern Java whilst accelerating connectivity to Banyuwangi.
In the Greater Jakarta region, Jasa Marga is also activating the Jakarta–Cikampek II Selatan Toll Road on the Sadang–Setu segment spanning approximately 52 kilometres. This route serves as an alternative for vehicles coming from Bandung towards Jakarta without having to navigate congestion on the Jakarta–Cikampek or Cipularang toll roads, particularly around kilometre 66.
Additionally, Jasa Marga through PT Jasamarga Jogja Bawen is also preparing a functional route on the Yogyakarta–Bawen Toll Road Section 6, Ambarawa–Bawen span, spanning 4.98 kilometres. This section connects directly with the Trans Java Toll network on the Semarang–Solo route and serves as an alternative for vehicles from the Bawen Toll Gate heading towards Magelang, Temanggung, and surrounding areas, ensuring the Eid exodus journey is safe and smooth.
