PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk has projected that approximately 3.53 million vehicles will exit the Greater Jakarta region through four main toll gates during the Eid 2026 holiday migration and return period.

The vehicle volume is expected to pass through Cikampek Utama, Kalihurip Utama, Ciawi, and Cikupa toll gates during the 21-day service period from H-10 to H+10 Eid 2026.

Jasa Marga’s Chief Executive Officer Rivan A Purwantono stated that the company has prepared various operational strategies to anticipate the traffic increase during this period. “To address the anticipated traffic surge, Jasa Marga has prepared a number of operational service strategies for Eid 2026 that include operating functional lanes, strengthening the operational service fleet, optimising traffic monitoring technology, improving toll road infrastructure readiness, and enhancing rest area services,” he said in a statement in Jakarta on Saturday, 14 March 2026.

Traffic Monitoring Based on Technology

Rivan explained that the vehicle movement projection during Eid was compiled based on historical data analysis and traffic monitoring conducted through the Jasamarga Tollroad Command Center (JMTC). The control centre is equipped with visual monitoring technology and supported by the use of machine learning and artificial intelligence (AI) to read vehicle movement patterns more accurately over time. This technology serves as the basis for Jasa Marga in making traffic engineering decisions in a more responsive and effective manner.

Functional Lanes Prepared

As part of the traffic distribution strategy during the holiday migration period, Jasa Marga has also prepared four functional lanes on several toll sections:

• Jakarta–Cikampek II South toll section Sadang–Setu spanning 52 kilometres

• Yogyakarta–Bawen toll section 6 Ambarawa–Bawen spanning 4.98 kilometres

• Jogja–Solo toll segment Prambanan–Purwomartani spanning 12.225 kilometres

• Probolinggo–Banyuwangi toll Phase I section Probolinggo–Situbondo West spanning 49.68 kilometres

Hundreds of Service Fleets Deployed

To ensure optimal service on toll roads, Jasa Marga has also deployed various operational fleets, including:

• 124 mobile customer service (MCS) units

• 55 ambulance units

• 37 rescue vehicles

• 199 tow trucks

• 101 highway patrol (PJR) vehicles equipped with five congestion relief teams
