Jasa Marga Prepares Four Functional Toll Roads for Eid Exodus 2026
JAKARTA — PT Jasa Marga has positioned approximately 8,000 personnel supported by 516 operational vehicles for duty during the Eid Holiday Transport Operation (Operasi Ketupat). This was announced by Jasa Marga Chief Executive Officer Rivan A Purwantono during a unified Jasa Marga Operational Alert Apel at Taman Mini Indonesia Indah (TMII), Jakarta.
“From an infrastructure readiness perspective, Jasa Marga ensures that four toll road sections are 100 per cent ready for operation,” Rivan stated in a written statement in Jakarta on Tuesday, 10 March 2026.
Jasa Marga, according to Rivan, predicts approximately 3.5 million vehicles will exit Jakarta through four main toll gates (GT). To support traffic management, Jasa Marga is optimising technology utilisation, including the Jasa Marga Integrated Digital (JID) system, which has a 97 per cent accuracy rate to enable precise and responsive decision-making in supporting traffic flow.
Jasa Marga has also launched the Call Centre 133 service as a central information and complaint service for toll road users, accessible 24 hours a day. This number replaces the previous number, 14080. The service is expected to provide convenience to the public in obtaining traffic information and assistance during their journey.
“Through Call Centre 133, Jasa Marga hopes that communication with road users becomes faster, easier, and more responsive,” Rivan added.
To support smooth operational operations during the Eid period, Jasa Marga has positioned various toll road service fleets, including 176 tow trucks, 124 Mobile Customer Service (MCS) units, 55 ambulances, and 101 Highway Patrol (PJR) vehicles. Additionally, mobile crane readiness has been increased to address special incidents requiring rapid response on toll roads.
“To anticipate potential impacts of extreme weather, Jasa Marga has positioned 71 emergency teams and 209 water pump units to maintain traffic flow,” Rivan said.
Beyond fleet and personnel readiness, Rivan continued, Jasa Marga has also enhanced services for road users by preparing 43 health posts at various rest area locations. To support smooth toll gate transactions, Jasa Marga has also positioned 470 on-call personnel and 736 mobile reader units as transaction tools to anticipate increased vehicle volumes during the Eid period.
Police Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas Polri) Head Agus Suryonugroho stated that five clusters require attention during the Eid Holiday Transport Operation (Operasi Ketupat): toll roads, arterial roads, ferry crossing points, places of worship, and tourist destinations. Agus expressed appreciation and gratitude for the implementation of the Jasa Marga Unified Operational Alert Apel.
“We are confident that the key to the success of Operasi Ketupat 2026 is collaboration, synergy, and certainly solidarity in the field,” Agus said.
The Director General of Land Transportation at the Ministry of Transport Aan Suhanan also appreciated Jasa Marga’s readiness and all stakeholders present in the 2026 Eid operational management arrangements. Aan assessed Jasa Marga’s preparedness and all stakeholders’ readiness as extraordinary.
“This demonstrates the preparedness of resources possessed by Jasa Marga and all stakeholders involved in the 2026 Eid Holiday Transport Operation,” Aan said.
The Head of the Toll Road Regulatory Agency (BPJT) Wilan Oktavian assessed that toll roads play a crucial role in supporting national mobility during the Eid period. Their existence is not merely a transportation facility but also part of public service to the community.
“We also want to emphasise the importance of utilising the monitoring system for public complaint services, such as the Travoy application owned by Jasa Marga,” Wilan said.
