JAKARTA — Ahead of the 2026 Eid holiday exodus, PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk will implement a 30 per cent toll tariff discount for four days across nine expressway sections managed by the Jasa Marga Group.

The tariff reduction will apply for two days during the outbound exodus period on 15–16 March 2026 (six to five days before Eid) and two days during the return period on 26–27 March 2026 (five to six days after Eid).

Jasa Marga Chief Executive Rivan A Purwantono stated that the policy represents the company’s support for the Government’s efforts to ensure smooth holiday traffic flow whilst helping distribute traffic more evenly across the network.

“Additionally, the tariff discount also applies to expressway sections in the Trans-Sumatra region, including the Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa (Belmera) and Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi (MKTT) toll roads, as well as in the Bandung-Cisumdawu region, which includes the Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang (Cipularang) and Padalarang-Cileunyi (Padaleunyi) toll roads,” Rivan added.

Rivan noted that the discount programme applies to road users making through journeys.

He expressed hope that the toll discount during the 2026 Eid period will encourage road users to travel earlier, thereby maintaining and distributing traffic more evenly.

According to Jasa Marga’s projections, the peak outbound exodus is expected on 18 March 2026, whilst the peak return period is estimated for 24 March 2026.

The toll discount is therefore expected to encourage road users to schedule their journeys outside these peak traffic periods.

Rivan further stated that this demonstrates how travel incentive policies can encourage the public to travel outside peak exodus or return hours.

“With these changes in travel patterns, Jasa Marga can optimise toll road capacity so that traffic distribution becomes more even and service to road users is maintained in accordance with the Minimum Service Standard (SPM) for toll roads,” he added.

Rivan also reminded road users that to enjoy the 30 per cent tariff reduction during the 2026 Eid exodus and return periods, those undertaking long-distance journeys must use a single electronic money card with sufficient balance for both entry and exit transactions.

“The journey origin and vehicle class must be properly recorded in the toll transaction system. The tariff discount will not apply if the electronic money transaction has insufficient balance or if the origin and vehicle class cannot be read,” Rivan stated.

Rivan urged all toll road users to download the Travoy application to obtain up-to-date information regarding traffic conditions, rest area locations, toll rates, and real-time CCTV access across various expressway sections.

Through this application, road users can plan their journeys more effectively, making the Eid holiday exodus and return migration more comfortable and smooth.

“As a state-owned enterprise in the toll road infrastructure sector, Jasa Marga is committed to ensuring toll road operational services remain optimal during the 2026 Eid holiday period,” Rivan concluded.
