PT Jasa Marga (Persero) Tbk is implementing a 30 per cent toll rate discount for four days across nine toll road sections managed by the Jasa Marga Group. The discount applies for two days during the outbound exodus period on 15-16 March 2026 (H-6 to H-5 before Eid) and two days during the return period on 26-27 March 2026 (H+5 to H+6 after Eid).

The discount applies to strategic sections along the Trans Java route, including the Jakarta-Cikampek Toll Road, MBZ Elevated Road, Palimanan-Kanci Toll Road, Batang-Semarang Toll Road, and Semarang Section ABC Toll Road. Additionally, the discount also applies to toll sections in the Trans Sumatra region, including the Belawan-Medan-Tanjung Morawa (Belmera) Toll Road and the Medan-Kualanamu-Tebing Tinggi (MKTT) Toll Road, as well as the Bandung-Cisumdawu area, which includes the Cikampek-Purwakarta-Padalarang (Cipularang) Toll Road and Padalarang-Cileunyi (Padaleunyi) Toll Road.

Jasa Marga Chief Executive Rivan A. Purwantono stated that the discount programme applies to road users who travel continuously. “The provision of toll rate discounts during the 2026 Eid period is expected to encourage road users to travel earlier so that traffic distribution can be better maintained and evened out,” he said in an official statement issued on Wednesday (11 March).

Based on Jasa Marga’s projections, the peak outbound exodus is estimated to occur on 18 March 2026, whilst the peak return exodus is estimated on 24 March 2026. The toll rate discount is expected to encourage road users to schedule their travel outside peak traffic periods.

Based on a survey conducted by Indonesia’s Ministry of Transportation, approximately 48 per cent of respondents stated they were willing to adjust their travel time if there were a Work From Anywhere (WFA) policy as well as additional stimulus in the form of toll rate discounts.

Rivan added that this demonstrated that travel incentive policies could encourage the public to travel outside peak outbound and return exodus times. “With such changes in travel patterns, Jasa Marga can optimise toll road capacity so that traffic distribution becomes more even,” he added.

Rivan also reminded road users that to benefit from the 30 per cent rate cut during the 2026 Eid outbound and return periods, those undertaking long-distance travel (barrier gate to barrier gate) must complete their transaction using a single electronic money card for both tap-in and tap-out processes with sufficient credit.

“The rate discount does not apply if the electronic money credit is insufficient or if the vehicle origin and classification cannot be read,” Rivan concluded.

The rate discount programme applies to road users undertaking continuous travel on toll sections managed by the Jasa Marga Group and integrated with several other toll sections within a single travel transaction system, enabling long-distance multi-section toll travellers to benefit from the discount.

The 30 per cent rate discount applies to road users undertaking continuous travel from Cikampek Utama Toll Gate to Kalikangkung Toll Gate and in the reverse direction.

The 30 per cent rate discount also applies to road users undertaking travel from Pangkalan Brandan Toll Gate to Sinaksak/Simpang Panei Toll Gate and Kisaran Toll Gate and in the reverse direction. For Class I vehicles travelling from Pangkalan Brandan to Kisaran, the rate drops from Rp263,500 to Rp224,200, representing a discount of Rp39,300.

The 30 per cent rate discount additionally applies to road users undertaking continuous travel from Kalihurip Utama Toll Gate to Cisumdawu Utama Toll Gate and in the reverse direction.
