Jasa Marga Increases Toll Booths at Cikatama Gate from 15 to 22 During Lebaran Mudik Rush
KARAWANG — PT Jasamarga Transjawa Tol (JTT) is expanding the number of toll booths at Gerbang Tol Cikampek Utama (Cikatama) from 15 to 22 booths during the 2026 Lebaran mudik rush period.
The expansion aims to optimise transaction services for vehicles travelling from Jakarta towards the Trans-Java Toll Road to the east.
“For this mudik period, we will prioritise and optimise these booths to serve road users from Jakarta heading east on the Trans-Java Toll Road. We can increase operations from 15 booths to 22 booths,” said Vice President Corporate Secretary and Legal JTT, Ria Marlinda Paallo, during a visit to the Cikatama Monitoring Post on Monday, 8 March 2026.
According to Paallo, increasing toll booth transaction capacity is a primary focus in preparing for the mudik and return traffic during this Lebaran period.
She added that the booth expansion is being implemented through various infrastructure modifications at the toll gate to accommodate more vehicles.
“We are implementing several modifications at the toll gate so we can serve more users passing through Gerbang Tol Cikampek Utama heading east on the Trans-Java Toll Road,” she said.
In addition to expanding booths, JTT is also preparing situational operation of GT Cikatama 8 to help reduce vehicle congestion during return traffic.
Paallo explained that operation of the additional gate will be adjusted according to vehicle queue conditions from the east heading to Jakarta.
JTT is also preparing various traffic management measures in collaboration with the government and National Police to anticipate congestion on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll section.
Paallo stated that traffic management typically occurs from KM 70 to KM 47, particularly at congestion points after vehicles exit the Cikampek Elevated Road, commonly known as the MBZ Toll Road.
In addition to one-way systems, contraflow operations are being prepared at several points, including KM 47, KM 55, and KM 65 on the Jakarta-Cikampek toll road.
“We will use these bypass routes in collaboration with the National Police to ensure contraflow in those areas if conditions meet parameters and are approved by police discretion,” Paallo said.
“One of the most important things we recommend is downloading the Travoy application. Through the Travoy application, there are CCTV cameras positioned every 500 metres on the Jasa Marga Holding and Jasa Marga Trans-Jawa Toll routes,” she concluded.
