TOKYO (AFP): Japan's Kyosha Co. Ltd. said yesterday it had set
up a joint venture in Indonesia with another Japanese firm and
local concerns to produce and sell printed circuit boards.
The joint venture, located in suburban Jakarta, will be
capitalized at US$1.5 million and is expected to commence
production in January next year.
The venture will be controlled 20 percent by Kyosha, 39.2
percent by Miyoshi Electronic Corp. and 20.8 percent by PT Lippo
Industries and Lippo Industries Capital Corp. The remaining
shares will be owned by other local concerns.
The firm is to monthly produce 50,000 square meters (538,000
square feet) of printed circuit boards for consumer electronics
products and communications equipment.
Company officials said the venture would export the boards to
production bases of Japanese electronics makers, including
Matsushita Electric Industrial Co. and Sanyo Electric Co., in
Southeast Asia.
